Birch Run began as a stop on the Pere Marquette Railroad in 1852. In 1954, it was incorporated into a village. Birch Run has since evolved into a shopping mecca for visitors from across the globe. It is home to residents who enjoy the small-town feel with big city amenities. It is home to Birch Run Premium Outlets, one of the largest outlet malls in the region.
